Other symptoms, such as nausea, cramps, headache and anorexia may or may not be present. Synonyms for the term gastro-enteritis that have been commonly used are: dyspepsia, summer diarrhea, enteritis, cholera infantum, epidemic diarrhea of infants, and infantile diarrhea and vomiting.
