This project is located in Piotrkow Trybunalski in central Poland. This region of Poland is known for its cotton production and industrial work throughout the 19th and 20th century. The city is located close to Lodz which is the second largest city in Poland and its industrial heartland. The region is also known for being the main hotbed of Partisan resistance during the German and Russian occupation of WW2. These soldiers hid for years inside the forests of the region and defended many villages from being exterminated by the Nazi forces. Therefore, this project inhabits an old cotton mill which has been out of use for the last 50 years and houses a museum and archive dedicated to remembering the history of the region. Focusing on the Partisan movement in the area.
