The diploma thesis focuses on public spaces in České Budějovice, which are evaluated in theoretical part of the work. Various kinds of strategies in development of public spaces in several model cities are presented and options of development of the city in question are considered. Practical part of the work preceedes the overview of several reference examples, which suggest possible options in solution of areas similar to the studied one. The project is further elaboration of the road network proposed in my bachelor thesis, which connects the two main housing estates of the city. In the area of former military training ground the system of wooden paths, which connects places for various activities is projected. The area is planned for people to meet and spend their leisure time.
