Stav a vývoj segmentu lesa v NPR Habrůvecká bučina jako podklad pro přírodě blízké lesnické hospodaření

This diploma thesis was made on area of ŠLP ML Křtiny. The NPR Habrůvecká bučina has 85,2 ha and in non-intervention regime it is from 1959. The main aim was to find out information as a base for sustainable forest management as a base for nature oriented forestry in surrounding deciduous stands. For this purpose was in the nature reserve set new permanent research plot (200 x 200 m) which part are two permanent research plots (2 x 0,5 ha) of Ing. Truhlář from 1973. On permanent research plots were inventoried all state of natural regeneration. Currently, there prevails one (upper) diameter differentiation storey similarly like in the age class forest of European beech from former production forest. At the same time occurs local undergrowth with height from 5 to 12 meters. Dieback of mature trees goes individually (mortality is in average 0,7 tree/year). High growing stock is about 800 m3/ha and investigated annual volume increment is about 9,5 m3/ha/year shows high site production potential and therefore, convenient base for effective and profitable forest management which enables LTV. In some local areas are possible to select structures reminding selection forest of beech type with advance growth (10 -- 18 cm) and with growth out regeneration. Growing stock of mature stand is about 650 m3/ha, respectively basal area 31 m2/ ha. Prevailing natural regeneration of beech occurs in groups with area 350 m2 (from 84 to 1 535 m2). The most common size of stand gaps occurs mostly from 25 to 100 m2 (i.e. area corresponds with crown projection of one tree). As convenient management target for deciduous forest management appears forest form with irregular mosaic (group) texture i.e. in silvicultural practices of group selection with active support of compact regeneration groups with various sizes till 0,15 ha.
