Detta examensarbete syftar till att kartlägga och utreda kunskapsglappet inom arbetsmiljö hos gymnasielärlingar i bygg- och anläggningsbranschen. Examensarbetet utförs i samarbete med Peab. De har upplevt att deras gymnasielärlingar har bristande kunskap inom arbetsmiljö. För att förebygga olyckor och aktivt arbeta för Peabs nollvision avseende arbetsplatsolyckor är detta examensarbete en del i Peabs preventiva arbete för en säker arbetsmiljö. Arbetsmiljöstatistik, enkätundersökningar och intervjuer har tillämpats för att fastställa de områden inom arbetsmiljö där gymnasielärlingarnas kunskaper inte upplevts tillräckliga. Med dessa metoder har det konstaterats att Peab inte kan förutsätta att gymnasielärlingen har den kompetens inom arbetsmiljö som krävs för att utföra de uppgifter som ålagts honom eller henne. För detta krävs formulering av konkreta åtgärder för att säkerställa god arbetsmiljö för gymnasielärlingar. Förslag på åtgärder är exempelvis en särskild introduktion för gymnasielärlingar vid anställning, där stor vikt läggs på attityder till arbetsmiljö och särskilda riskarbeten. Ett annat förslag är att gymnasielärlingen aktivt deltar vid skyddsronder under sin lärlingsperiod. / This Master thesis aims to explore and investigate the level of knowledge within the work environment for craftsmen apprentices in the construction industry. The Master thesis is executed as a collaboration with Peab, one of the Nordic region’s leading construction and civil engineering companies. They have experienced a lack of knowledge from craftsmen apprentices in their way to implement safety measurements in their daily work. This master thesis is as part of Peabs vision of zero tolerance regarding accidents in the working environment. Statistics, surveys and interviews have been carried out to establige those parts of the working environment where the safety is lacking for the craftsmen apprentices. With these methods it has been confirmed that Peab cannot assume that the craftsmen apprentices have the knowledge within working environment that is required for the work he or she is obligated to perform. To ensure a healthy working environment for craftsmen apprentices, avoid accidents and injuries caused by working with inadequate techniques in a long period of time, recommendations on how to address the issue is required. Suggestions on improvement is to implement an introduction for craftsmen apprentices, organized in the beginning of their employment, focusing on working environment and the attitude towards it. Another suggestion would be to get the craftsmen apprentice to participate in the regular security checks that are carried out within the work place. This will continue thru out their period of being an apprentice.
