A presente pesquisa objetiva essencialmente o desenvolvimento de um método para prever a influência do sistema de registro sobre a nitidez de imagens radiográficas por simulação computacional, procurando apresentar previamente na tela do microcomputador a imagem a ser obtida para cada tipo de filme ou combinação écran-filme usada durante a exposição. O método proposto tem condições de proporcionar uma ampla avaliação da qualidade de sistemas radiográficos em razão da quantidade de fatores que permite combinar na investigação, como ponto focal, efeito \'\'Heel\", magnificação, característica de campo e características de filmes e écrans. A simulação investiga a influência que um tipo de filme ou combinação écran-filme exerce sobre a nitidez da imagem, possibilitando conhecer previamente a imagem final a ser obtida com diferentes equipamentos e sistemas de registro. / The purpose of this work is the development of a method designed to predict the influence of the record system on radiographic images sharpness by computer simulation. The aim of this research is to show on the monitor the image to be obtained with any type of film or screen-film combination used during the x-ray exposure. The method provides a wide quality evaluation of radiographic systems because of the number of parameters which can be combined in the investigation, such as focal spot, Heel effect, magnification, field characteristics of films and screen-film combinations. The simulation investigates therefore the influence of a particular type of film or screen-film combination on the image sharpness, and allows to know previously the output image to be obtained with different x-ray equipments and record systems.
