2011_RosemarEuricoCoenga.pdf: 994756 bytes, checksum: 57c6c0a9bcabef8e210cf999af4e12b0 (MD5) / Trata-se de uma pesquisa que investiga as histórias de leitura de Erico Verissimo (1905-1975) e Pedro Nava (1903-1984), tendo como eixo teórico a Sociologia da Leitura, particularmente os estudos de Jean-Claude Pompougnac e Jean Hébrard, sobre a constituição do leitor, as contribuições da abordagem autobiográfica e dos estudos de Roger Chartier e Pierre Bourdieu, que compreendem a leitura como prática cultural. Nessa perspectiva, este estudo pretende apresentar como esses escritores se constituíram leitores. Analisam-se as redes de sociabilidade que propiciaram o contato de Erico Verissimo e Pedro Nava como leitores: pessoas, família, ambientes, situações, bem como suas imagens sobre leitura, literatura e leitor focalizando mais particularmente o itinerário dos autores, a partir da mediação familiar, buscando compreender como a família pode desempenhar durante o processo de formação do leitor uma relação positiva entre eles e a leitura. A leitura é uma arte que se transmite, mais do que se ensina, é o que demonstram vários estudos como os de François de Singly (2009); Pierre Bourdieu (1998); Lahire (2004). Estes revelam que a transmissão no seio da família permanece a mais frequente. Pedro Nava e Erico Verissimo iniciaram suas participações nas culturas do escrito, transformando uma herança cultural que lhes foi disponibilizada pela família ao longo das primeiras décadas do século XX. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The research presented in this paper investigates the reading histories of the authors Erico Verissimo (1905-1975) and Pedro Nava (1903-1984), having as theoretical axis the Sociology of Readin, particularly the works of Jean-Claude Pompougnac and Jean Hébrard, about the constitution of the reader, the contributions of the autobiographical approach and of the studies of Roger Chartier and Pierre Bourdieu, that comprehend reading as a cultural practice.
Under that perspective, this study intends to show how these readers became writers. The social networks that allowed Erico Verissimo and Pedro Nava to be in touch with reading were analysed: people, family, environment, situations, characters, proses and poetries, as well as their images of reading, literatures and readers. The itineraries of Erico and Pedro were particularly focused on, through family mediation, seeking to understand how the family can influence a positive relationship between readers and reading during the process of constitution of the reader. Reading is an art to be passed forward, more than to be taught, it is what many studies demonstrate, like the ones by François de Singly (2009); Pierre Bourdieu (1998); Lahire (2004). These works reveal that the transmission in the family circle remains the most frequent. Pedro Nava and Erico Verissimo began their writing activities transforming a cultural inheritance presented to them by their families throughout the first of the 20 century.
