Previous issue date: 2017-03-31 / Introdu??o: A corrida de rua, modalidade do atletismo que vem crescendo de maneira exponencial, principalmente por ser acess?vel a toda popula??o, exige amplo envolvimento f?sico e psicol?gico do praticante durante treinamentos e competi??es. Uma adequada recupera??o da condi??o f?sica do praticante torna-se um aspecto importante, principalmente pelos danos causados a estrutura muscular. A crioterapia por imers?o tem sido utilizada com esse prop?sito. Objetivo: Analisar o efeito da crioimers?o (CI) na recupera??o de marcadores cl?nicos, bioqu?micos, funcionais e neuromusculares do dano muscular em praticantes de corrida de rua de 10 km. Materiais e m?todo: Ensaio cl?nico randomizado e cego, no qual 30 sujeitos, praticantes de corrida de rua de 10 km, foram aleatoriamente divididos, ap?s a corrida, em 3 grupos de recupera??o (grupo controle, grupo imers?o e grupo crioimers?o). Os corredores foram avaliados quanto a indicadores cl?nico (percep??o subjetiva da dor), bioqu?micos (concentra??o sangu?nea de CK), funcionais (dist?ncia do salto triplo unipodal e tempo do shuttle run test) e neuromusculares por meio de vari?veis isocin?ticas (pico de torque, trabalho total, pot?ncia, ?ndice de fadiga). Os volunt?rios realizaram avalia??es pr? corrida, p?s corrida, p?s interven??o e 24h p?s interven??o. Os dados foram expressos por meio de m?dia e desvio padr?o, analisados no pacote estat?stico SPSS 20.0. Foi considerado um n?vel de signific?ncia de 5% e intervalo de confian?a de 95% para todas as medidas. Resultados: A corrida de 10 km foi suficiente para alterar negativamente o desempenho do ponto de vista bioqu?mico, funcional e neuromuscular (p<0,05) por?m n?o houve diferen?as intergrupos para nenhuma das vari?veis analisadas ap?s as devidas interven??es (P>0,05). Conclus?o: A CI por 10 minutos ? 10 ?C n?o foi eficaz na recupera??o de marcadores do dano muscular ap?s corrida de 10 km. / Introduction: Street racing, a mode of athletics that has been growing exponentially, mainly because it is accessible to the entire population, requires a wide physical and psychological involvement of the practitioner during training and competitions. An adequate recovery of the practitioner's physical condition becomes an important aspect, mainly due to the damages caused to the muscular structure. Immersion cryotherapy has been used for this purpose. Objective: To analyze the effect of cold water immersion (CWI) on the recovery of clinical, biochemical and neuromuscular markers of muscle damage in 10 km street runners. Randomized and blinded clinical trial in which 30 subjects, 10 km street runners, were randomly divided, after running, into 3 recovery groups (control group, immersion group and cryoimersion group). The runners were evaluated for clinical (subjective pain perception), biochemical (CK blood concentration), functional (unipodal triple jump distance and shuttle run test time) and neuromuscular variables (peak torque, total work, power, fatigue index). The volunteers performed pre-race, post-race, post-intervention and 24-hour post-intervention evaluations. The data were expressed by mean and standard deviation, analyzed in the statistical package SPSS 20.0. A significance level of 5% and a 95% confidence interval were considered for all measures. Results: The 10 km race was enough to negatively alter performance from a biochemical, functional and neuromuscular variables (p <0.05), but there were no intergroup differences for any of the variables analyzed after the appropriate interventions (P> 0.05 ). Conclusion: CWI for 10 minutes at 10 ? C was not effective in recovering muscle damage markers after a 10-km run.
