Análise de seu campo de trabalho, as transformações havidas nos desfile das Escolas de Samba, nas décadas de 60, 70 e 80, e as alterações dos matérias e técnicas introduzidas pelos carnavalescos que colaboraram nestas transformações. Descrição de sua relação profissional e os aspectos da regulamentação e reconhecimento desta profissão. Descrição das etapas de seu trabalho e das atividades por ele exercidas, que totalizam um número de quinze funções. Análise de seu papel cultural na Escola de Samba e definição do perfil deste profissional. / Analysis of the profession of carnavalesco, research into its history, beginnings and forerunners of Samba Schools, including the technicians of the “Ranchos” and “Grandes Sociedades”. An analysis of their field of work, transformations which occurred in the alterations of the materials and techniques introduced by the Carnavalescos. A description of their professional interacting and aspects pretaining to acceptance of the profession by the general public and its reconignition by public authorities. A survey of the various stages of their work and the activities exercised by them, totalizing fifteen different functions. An analysis of the cultural role of the Samba School and definition of the profile of their leading professional.
