Research thesis presents an analysis of changes that occurred in municipalities around the motorway D11, after there was opened a new section of motorway at the end of the year 2006, which extended the motorway about 45 km and its total length doubled. New section took over the traffic load from the original main routes heading from eastern Bohemia to Prague and a number of municipalities, which originally lay on unimportant local routes, improve abruptly their traffic location and exposure to the main centres of development. The aim of the work is to determine the extent to which the detected changes in assessed region can be put in connection with the opening of the new motorway section. The changes in the births and deaths of the economic subjects, with a resolution by industry and size category, changes in population growth by migration and changes in the ride to the main centres are examined. The obtained data are transformed into assessed indicators in such a way to minimize the impact of external influences, which needs to be counted with within the research.
