Previous issue date: 2013-03-20 / The purpose of this research is to demonstrate how dialogism is presented in
Thomas Mann s The Transposed Heads and in Stendhal s The Red and The Black,
corpus of this critical evaluation. For this proposed research, we turn to the ideas of
Mikhail Bakhtin, specifically those contained in his work Aesthetics of Verbal Creation
and also to those of: Beth Brait, José Luís Fiorin, Diana Pessoa de Barros, Ingedore
Villaça Koch, Cleudemar Alves Fernandes, Solange Jobim e Souza, Graça Paulino
and Vânia Lúcia Menezes Torga. The textual analysis of the works emphasizes
dialogism , enunciations , subject formation and the intertextual process, and
lends itself to the study of the aforementioned works, as well as of the following
complementary works: the sacred Indian text Bhagavad Gita, and the sacred
Christian text The Bible. We chose to work with these texts, as they offer the widest
variety of examples with regards to the objectives and the purpose of this study. As a
result of this research, sections of the original texts were identified and recorded
which corroborate our original hypothesis of dialogic interface between the two
literary works. / O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é mostrar que o dialogismo se faz presente em
As cabeças trocadas, de Thomas Mann e em O vermelho e o negro, de Stendhal,
corpus deste estudo crítico. Recorre-se às ideias de Mikhail Bakhtin para este
proposto estudo, sobretudo em sua obra Estética da criação verbal e também a Beth
Brait, José Luís Fiorin, Diana Pessoa de Barros, Ingedore Villaça Koch, Cleudemar
Alves Fernandes, Solange Jobim e Souza, Graça Paulino e Vânia Lúcia Menezes
Torga. As análises das obras enfatizam dialogismo , enunciados , formação do
sujeito , processo intertextual e lança-se para o estudo das obras supracitadas,
bem como para as que são complementares: Bhagavad Gita, livro sagrado indiano
e a Bíblia, livro sagrado do Cristianismo. Optou-se por trabalhar com essas obras por
apresentarem maior variedade em torno dos objetivos e dos propósitos existentes no
diálogo. Como resultado dessa pesquisa foram identificados e evidenciados trechos
em que se comprova a teoria a respeito da interface dialógica.
