Previous issue date: 2018-10-08 / Among the available treatments for chronic renal disease (CKD) in its terminal stage, hemodialysis (HD) is the most used according to the Brazilian Society of Nephrology, which demands adaptations in the patient's life, since it is a treatment associated with several restrictions and which compromises their daily activities. One of the most difficult and relevant adaptations for HD is the formation of an arteriovenous fistula (AVF) in the patient's arm. In view of these difficulties imposed by the treatment, which often influence the adherence of the renal patient, it is necessary to use devices that aid in the process of adaptation and maintenance of therapy. In this sense, the idea of conceiving a health approach, based on m-health technology, to support the practice of passive exercise in the patient's FAV in HD became the objective of this study, allowing maintenance and maturation of FAV through passive muscular electrical stimulation (FES) by electrical pulses. It is a validation of technology of the research type of methodological development, of an applied nature divided into three phases: data collection, design and development of the technological artifact and validation of content and appearance. ATIVEFAV was the name given to this technology and that through the technique of brainstorming received this name. The validation of the artifact was given in two moments, the first by eight judges in the area of nephrology evaluating four domains (objectives, concept of idea, structure and presentation, and relevance), and the second moment by two health professionals, a physiotherapist and a physical educator who made a positive evaluation of the functionality of the exercises programmed by FES of ATIVEFAV. In all domains the technology obtained IVC (Content Validity Index) above 0.80. Thus, it is believed that the use of ATIVEFAV may be an important tool both for maturation and maintenance of AVF and, together with the nursing team involved in renal patient care, to increase the quality of hemodialysis as a consequence of the good functioning of the fistula. / Dentre os tratamentos disponíveis para doença renal crônica (DRC) em seu estágio terminal, a hemodiálise (HD) é o mais utilizado segundo a Sociedade Brasileira de Nefrologia, o qual demanda adaptações na vida do paciente, pois consiste num tratamento associado a diversas restrições e que compromete suas atividades diárias. Umas das adaptações mais difíceis e relevantes para a HD, é a confecção de uma fístula arteriovenosa (FAV) no braço do paciente. Diante dessas dificuldades impostas pelo tratamento, e que, muitas vezes, influenciam na adesão do paciente renal, é que se faz necessário a utilização de artifícios que auxiliem no processo de adaptação e manutenção da terapia. Nesse sentido, a ideia de conceber uma abordagem em saúde, baseada em tecnologia m-health (saúde móvel), de apoio a assistência na realização de exercícios passivos na FAV do paciente em HD se tornou o objetivo desse estudo, permitindo a manutenção e maturação da FAV através de estimulação elétrica funcional (FES) muscular passiva, por pulsos elétricos. Trata-se de uma validação de tecnologia do tipo pesquisa de desenvolvimento metodológico, de natureza aplicada dividida em três fases: levantamento de dados, concepção e desenvolvimento do artefato tecnológico e validação de conteúdo e aparência. ATIVEFAV foi o nome dado a essa tecnologia e que por meio da técnica de brainstorming recebeu esse nome. A validação do artefato foi dada em dois momentos, o primeiro por 8 juízes da área da nefrologia avaliando quatro domínios (objetivos, conceito de ideia, estrutura e apresentação, e relevância), e o segundo momento por dois profissionais da saúde, um fisioterapeuta e um educador físico que fizeram uma avaliação positiva da funcionalidade dos exercícios programados por FES do ATIVEFAV. Em todos os domínios a tecnologia obteve IVC (Content Validity Index) acima de 0,80. Dessa forma, acredita-se que o uso do ATIVEFAV poderá ser uma ferramenta importante tanto para a maturação como manutenção da FAV, e juntamente com a equipe de enfermagem envolvida no cuidado ao paciente renal aumentar a qualidade da hemodiálise, como consequência do bom funcionamento da fístula.
