Previous issue date: 2018-08-06 / A presente pesquisa - produto de uma prática pedagógica investigativa realizada com crianças do Jardim B (Pré-escola) de uma Escola Municipal Infantil do município de Bento Gonçalves - tem por objetivo investigar os saberes que emergiram em crianças de cinco e seis anos de idade, ao serem propostas atividades vinculadas às Noções Geométricas Espaciais. De cunho qualitativo e inspirações etnográficas, a investigação tem como referencial teórico-metodológico o campo da Etnomatemática, interessado em examinar questões sociais e culturais no âmbito do ensino. O material de pesquisa foi composto pelo diário de campo da professora/pesquisadora, gravações de vídeo realizadas nos ambientes internos e externos, material escrito e
produzido pelos estudantes, tais como desenhos, maquetes e construções. A análise efetivada sobre o material de pesquisa evidenciou os resultados expressos como: “Entre subidas e descidas: Olhares acerca da pesquisa”. Tais resultados podem ser produtivos para que saberes gerados nessa faixa etária possam ser problematizados com vistas à qualificação do ensino de Matemática nessa etapa obrigatória da
educação básica. / The present research - a result of an investigative pedagogical practice carried out with children from a Pre-School of a Municipal Children's School in Bento Gonçalves town - aims to investigate and explore the knowledge that emerged in children of five and six years old, as it was proposed to them activities related to Spatial Geometric Notions. Of qualitative character and ethnographic inspirations, the research has as
theoretical-methodological reference the field of Ethnomathematics, interested in examining social and cultural questions in the scope of teaching. The research material was composed by the teacher / researcher's field diary, video recordings performed in internal and external environments, written material produced by students, such as drawings, mock-ups and constructions. The analysis carried out on the research material showed the results expressed as: "Between ascents and descents: Looks about the research". Such results can be productive because the knowledge generated in this age group can be problematized in order to qualify the teaching of Mathematics in this obligatory stage of basic education.
