The theoretical part includes access to economic and credit cycles in the context of economic theories. In the empirical part of the thesis examined the tightness of economic and credit cycles in individual countries of the European Union through the rolling correlations. For implementation of economic policy, it is important to know the direction of the cycles. Causality of cycles in Granger sense is determined by Granger exogeneity.
