Previous issue date: 2004-02-17 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Foi realizado um ensaio biológico, no setor de Avicultura da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, com aves leves de postura. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar os teores de cálcio em dietas de pré-postura, em presença de níveis normais e altos de fósforo e de proteína. Foi realizado o método de coleta total de excretas nos dois experimentos. O fornecimento das dietas experimentais teve início às 15 semanas e terminou tão logo as aves atingiram taxa de 5% de postura, quando passaram a receber ração padrão de postura. Durante o período de pré-postura, foram avaliados o ganho de peso, o consumo de ração e a conversão alimentar das aves. Foram abatidas duas aves/ unidade experimental, retirada da tíbia esquerda para análise posterior. A análise dos dados de produção de ovos e qualidade da casca dos mesmos foi feita em três períodos consecutivos de 28 dias, de 22 a 25, 26 a 29 e 30 a 33 semanas de idade das aves. Na fase de pré- postura, e nas três fases de produção avaliadas, os parâmetros de desempenho não melhoraram a ponto de se recomendar o aumento dos níveis de quaisquer um dos nutrientes. Os parâmetros de qualidade do ovo, nas três fases de produção avaliadas, também não sofreram influência dos tratamentos oferecidos às aves na pré-postura, porém alguns parâmetros de qualidade de casca foram influenciados pelos níveis nutricionais das dietas de pré-postura, mostrando que os níveis de fósforo disponível (0,316%) e proteína bruta (13,5%) normalmente utilizados na formulação de dietas de pré-postura são suficientes para serem fornecidos às aves durante essa fase, enquanto que o nível de cálcio 1,80% se mostrou mais eficiente que o nível de 0,80%, mais adotado nos dias atuais. / A bioassay was accomplished in the section of Aviculture of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, with egg-type chicks. The objective of the work was to evaluate the levels of calcium in prelaying diets, in presence of normal and high levels of phosphorus and of protein. The supply of the experimental diets had beginning to the 15 weeks and it finished the birds so soon reached tax of 5% of posture, when they started to receive ration standard of posture. During the prelaying period, they were appraised the body weight earnings, the ration consumption and the alimentary conversion of the birds. They were depressed two birds / experimental unit, retreat of the left shinbone for subsequent analysis. The analysis of the data of production of eggs and eggshell quality was made in three consecutive periods of 28 days, from 22 to 25, 26 to 29 and 30 to 33 weeks of age of the birds. In the prelaying and in the three appraised production phases, the acting parameters didn't get better to the point of to recommend the increase of the levels of any one of the nutrients. The parameters of eggshell quality in the xithree appraised production phases, didn't also suffer influence of the treatments offered to the birds in the prelaying, however some parameters of peel quality were influenced by the nutritional levels of the prelaying diets, showing that the levels of available phosphorus (0,316%) and crude protein (13,5%) usually used in the formulation of prelaying diets are enough for they be supplied the birds during that phase, while the level of calcium 1,80% was shown more efficient than the level of 0,80%, more adopted in the current days.
