En studie av struktur- och interaktionsförändringar i en familj som genomgått Intensiv familjeterapi Författare: Johanna Andersson, Kajsa Sjöblom och Josefine Strömberg Handledare: Marianne Freyne-Lindhagen Sammanfattning Studiens syfte är att utifrån ett systemteoretiskt perspektiv undersöka om Intensiv familjeterapi (IFT) påverkar strukturen och interaktionsmönstret i en familj utifrån varje familjemedlems upplevelse. För att göra syftet mer konkret och överskådligt lyftes följande frågeställningar fram: • Hur ser familjesystemets struktur ut, nu jämfört med före påbörjad behandling? • Har interaktionen förändrats mellan de olika systemen i familjen efter genomförd behandling? Studien grundar sig på en kvalitativ forskningsmetod där respondenterna utgjordes av en familj bestående av tre familjemedlemmar. Materialet har bearbetas utifrån en systematisk analys där relevant litteratur har kopplats till studiens huvudteman, struktur och interaktion. Resultaten visar att det skett en strukturell förändring i familjesystemet efter IFT- behandlingen, vilket samtliga respondenter uttrycker. Endast en av tre respondenter tycker sig ha märkt en förändring i familjens interaktion Vi tror oss dock kunna se en växelverkan mellan en familjs struktur och interaktion. Vi menar därför att det är möjligt att IFT-behandlingen inte enbart bidragit till en strukturell förändring i familjen utan att den även bidragit till en förändring i familjens interaktion. The purpose of this study was to examine, from a system theoretical perspective, whether IFT effects the structure and pattern of interaction within a family, based on the experience of each family member. To make the aim more tangible and clear the following questions were presented: • How is the structure of the family system perceived after, compared to before treatment was commenced? • Has the interaction changed within the different family systems after treatment was completed? The study is conducted by using a qualitative research method where the participants consist of a family. The material has been processed via systematic analysis, where relevant literature has been connected to the head themes of the study; structure and interaction. The results show that a structural change in the family system occurred after the IFT treatment - as expressed by all the participants.. Only one out of the three participants experienced a change in the interaction within the family. We believe that a varying effect between structure and interaction within a family is possible. We therefore believe that it is possible - if not probable - that IFT treatment not only contributes to a structural change but also to a change in the interaction within the family.
