El objeto de estudio de esta tesis son los sistemas \termo-mec anicos", sistemas que
admiten una descripci on termodin amica y una mec anica, en primera instancia, luego de
introducir un contexto adecuado, se procede a introducir estos sistemas en un lenguaje
físico v a la descripci on, pensando en experimentos plausibles, de ejemplos elementales
que involucran fen omenos disipativos. Luego se proceder a a plantear las ecuaciones de
evoluci on temporal, de los observables involucrados, a partir de un principio variacional,
desde la perspectiva de los sistemas no-hol onomos generalizados (SNHG).
En los últimos tres capítulos, se continua con la descripción de dichos sistemas, ahora
en el contexto de la geometría simpléctica y de contacto, describiendo la parte mecánica
y termodinámica respectivamente. Mostraremos los ejemplos ya presentados bajo estas
dos perspectivas geométricas para finalmente optar por un formalismo simpléctico que
unifica ambas descripciones. / The object of study in this thesis are \thermo-mechanical" systems, systems which
admits a thermodynamical and a mechanical description. At the beginning, after setting
the convenient context, we will proceed to introduce these systems in a physical language,
via the description of elementary examples that takes into account dissipative phenomena,
also experimentally factible. Then the equations of temporal evolution of the observables
will be written, considering a variational principle from the perspective of the generalized
non-holonomic systems (GNHS).
In the last three chapters we will continue with the description of these systems,
now in the context of symplectic and contact geometry, describing the mechanic and
thermodynamic parts respectively. The already seen examples will be shown under both
geometric perspectives. Finally, a symplectic view will be kept for a unified description
