Konsekvenserna av de påfrestningar människan utsätter jorden för blir alltmer påtagliga. En av dessa påfrestningar är den enorma resursanvändning som de moderna konsumtionssamhällena kräver och bygger på. Överkonsumtionen i den (ekonomiskt) rika delen av världen blir alltmer ifrågasatt och alternativa sätt att hantera resurser har kommit at utvecklas, däribland den kollaborativa konsumtionen som bygger på delning och medskapande. Eftersom det redan konstaterats positiva miljöeffekter med ytor för delande syftar denna studie till att utforska vilka potentiella samhällsnyttor det finns med kollaborativa ytor i staden utifrån sociala och ekonomiska hållbarhetsperspektiv. Den studerar också vilka möjligheter och utmaningar det finns det för olika aktörer att driva och utveckla dessa ytor samt vilken roll medborgaren har i utvecklingen för mer hållbar konsumtion. Detta görs genom dels en litteraturstudie, dels en fallstudie i Göteborg. Resultaten visar att för att få en lyckad utveckling av kollaborativa ytor rekommenderas: att tydliga roller för varje aktör sätts från början; att policys som promotar denna typ av infrastruktur kan stöttas genom att exempelvis hitta sätt att mäta nyttorna med verksamheten; att ha ett brett samarbete mellan olika aktörer; samt att se över, tydliggöra och möjliggöra medborgarens roll och ansvar i att uppnå mål kring hållbar konsumtion. / The consequences of human activity on Earth becomes more and more obvious. One of these activities is the extreme extraction of resources, which is driven by the structures of the modern consumer societies. Hence, the over consumption in the (economically) richer parts of the world is becoming more questioned and alternative ways for use of resources are being tested and developed. Among these is the collaborative consumption, which is based on sharing and collaboration between people. Since beneficial effects on the environment from these spaces have already been identified, this study focuses on the potential social and economic benefits of these spaces. It also studies what possibilities and challenges there are in developing these spaces for different actors, as well as what role the citizen has for the development of sustainable consumption. This is carried out through a literature review and a case study focusing on fixoteken in Gothenburg in Sweden. The results show that to be able to develop these spaces successfully: the role of each actor must be clear from the start; policies that promotes this kind of infrastructure can be supported by tools that measure the benefits of these initiatives; a broad collaboration between actors is essential; and the role and responsibility of the citizen in sustainable consumption should be examined, clarified and supported.
