Mobile workplaces is something that gets more and more common and is used in many different industries. Like any other workplace, an organized workplace is crucial for a well working organization. The same thing goes for mobile workplaces. This is where Work System AB role comes into action. Work System AB equips light commercial vehicles with different equipment that is tailor made for each customer's preferences. Their goal is to optimize the customers workplace, workflow and safety. Work System AB presented a project for the project group where the goal was to develop an new assortment box that would replace their existing assortment box that is bought in from the company Racco. The new product should be able to fit into Work System AB line of products with their own measurement system, design and way of simplicity. The project has mainly been driven by the method “Stanford Design Thinking” which made the developing process iterative and agile. A prototype was developed that is customized to Work System AB measurement system and fits into their different ways of storing. The prototype has an unique design to match Work System AB line of products and has also got a new innovative solution for a locking mechanism with an integrated handle that is mounted on the lid of the assortment box. The development of the new assortment box has gone in line with a sustainable way of developing and using the product.
