Diploma thesis deals with issue of block area and its goal is elaboration of an architectural study for the model site Jubilejní kolonie in Ostrava Hrabůvka. Diploma thesis is dividend into the theoretical, analytical and design part. The theoretical part deals with issues of social housing at the beginning of the 20th century, their main ideas and problems. The theoretical part is supplemented by several examples of social housing, from which they are deduced the basis for the proposal. The analytical part refers to the model site and characterizes its problems. The design part is elaborated in the form of an architectural study.
