Abstract This work is about how the various schools make use of local curricula and how they have been developed in different schools and what is behind the local curricula. My aim with the work is to examine how the schools use the freedom degree in the local course plan work? My issues are following. What is the reasons to the local course plans and how liver the schools up to them? How do the schools work with the local course plans? How use itself the schools of the local freedom? To do this, I have chosen to make a number of interviews with the teacher in various schools. I have seen how their local curricula looks and has since studied how they have developed them and to what extent they use their curricula. I have seen to it that the schools would be as different as possible and in different environments to see variation on the answers. I have come to schools, in part, to live up to the use of the local curricula, that much of this freedom they have been taken by the competent teachers and not by the school.
