Previous issue date: 2015 / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo geral analisar se as descric¸o~es image´ticas seriam reproduzidas na sinalizac¸a~o da leitura de um texto em SignWriting. O texto foi entregue a alunos surdos de uma escola bili´ngue e professores universita´rios surdos com experie^ncia no sistema SignWriting para lerem, interpretarem e sinalizarem. Como objetivos especi´ficos, pretende-se: a) verificar como foi a transcric¸a~o em SignWriting de um vi´deo original com a func¸a~o de demonstrar iconicidade; b) observar as diferenc¸as entre as quatro transcric¸o~es; c) identificar quais transfere^ncias de descric¸a~o image´tica aparecem na sinalizac¸a~o do texto em SignWriting que foi lido; d) realizar uma ana´lise das descric¸o~es image´ticas produzidas nesta sinalizac¸a~o, contrastando com a sinalizac¸a~o do narrador do vi´deo original. A proposta metodolo´gica adotada baseou-se em Campello (2008) que classifica as descric¸o~es image´ticas em cinco tipos de transfere^ncia: Transfere^ncia de Tamanho e Forma  TTF, Transfere^ncia Espacial  TE, Transfere^ncia de Localizac¸a~o  TL, Transfere^ncia de Movimento  TM e Transfere^ncia de Incorporac¸a~o  TI. Os procedimentos adotados para este trabalho consistiram em duas etapas: produc¸a~o do material e sua aplicac¸a~o. A primeira etapa consistiu em: gravac¸a~o do vi´deo (material) para ser transcrito, escolha dos participantes para transcric¸a~o do vi´deo, transcric¸a~o dos participantes e elaboração do texto  padra~o . Na segunda etapa, foi feita a aplicac¸a~o do material que consistiu em: leitura, interpretac¸a~o e sinalizac¸a~o do texto  padra~o , etapa esta que foi gravada para a ana´lise dos dados obtidos. Para tanto, os dados da ana´lise foram obtidos por meio de um estudo experimental com quatro alunos surdos de uma escola bili´ngue e tre^s professores surdos com experie^ncia em SignWriting. Em resposta ao questionamento, foi possi´vel perceber elementos de descric¸o~es image´ticas no processo de sinalizac¸a~o da leitura em SignWriting. Na ana´lise e discussa~o dos resultados obtidos sa~o apresentados os dados da pesquisa, mostrando os elementos de descric¸a~o image´tica encontrados na sinalizac¸a~o dos participantes-leitores em uma tabela comparativa entre esta, o vi´deo original sinalizado pelo narrador e o texto  padra~o .<br> / Abstract : This research is an experimental study with four deaf students of a bilingual school and deaf professors experienced in SignWriting. The main goal of the present research is to analyze whether the imagetic descriptions would be noticed while the students and professors were signing what was read in a text in SignWriting. The text was hand to the deaf students and deaf professors so that they could read, understand and sign what was read. The specific goals are to: a) verify how was the transcription in SignWriting of an original which intended to show elements of iconicity; b) notice the differences among these transcriptions; c) identify which transferences from the imagetic descriptions theory appear while signing the text, which was read, in SignWriting; d) analyse the imagetic descriptions produced while signing the text read, in contrast to the ones that were signed in the first material, which is, the original video. The methodology used was based on the theory of Campello (2008), in which the imagetic descriptions are classified in five types of transferences: Transference of Size and Shape (TTF), Transference of Space (TE), Transference of Location (TL), Transference of Movement (TM) and Transference of Incorporation (TI). The procedures adopted for this research were divided in two steps: the production of the material and application of it to the research. In the first step, an original video was recorded in order to be transcript: then the people who would transcribe the video were chosen; the transcriptions were checked; and based on it a  standard text was written. In the second step, this  standard text was used in the reading part. Some deaf students from a bilingual school and some deaf professors read and signed the text. This entire part was recorded in order to improve the analysis of the data. Answering the main question, it was possible to notice elements of the imagetic descriptions in the process of signing the text read in SignWriting. In the analysis and discussion of the obtained results the research data are presented, showing the imagetic description elements found in the signing of the reading-participants on a table comparing it to the signing from the video and the  standard text.
