Scheuermann's disease is a kyphotic deformity of the spine that develops in early adolescence. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes in the parameters of spine (total mobility of dorsolumbal spine and lumbal part of spine), to find out the changes of strenght of the abdominal and scapula muscles, the mobility of the shoulders and the pain severity in this condition. 30 adolescents with an age of 11-16 years were taking part in this study. All of them got conservative treatment in Kaunas V.Tumėnienės rehabilitation center. Such methods as Schober‘s sign, finger-ground distance, tests for evaluating the strenght of abdominal and scapula muscles, shoulders mobility test, pain scale were used. After the treatment (kinesitherapy) the results of Schober‘s sign increased slightly, finger-ground distance improved significantly, the mobility of the shoulders and the strenght of the scapula muscles increased slightly, the strenght of the abdominal muscles improved significantly and back pain decreased considerably.
