El presente estudio de investigación se realizó con el objetivo de determinar el Nivel de Conocimiento que tienen las Madres Adolescentes en el Cuidado del Recién Nacido en el Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal. El tipo de estudio es descriptivo, la técnica emplead, la encuesta; el instrumento empleado fue el cuestionario. La muestra estuvo constituida por 115 madres adolescentes de 15 a 19 años hospitalizadas en el Servicio de Gíneco Obstetricia (Servicio de Adolescencia) del Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal las cuales cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y de exclusión requeridos. Entre las conclusiones a las que se llegaron tenemos que la mayoría de las madres adolescentes tienen un nivel medio de conocimiento, esto indican que no se encuentran adecuadamente preparadas para asumir la responsabilidad de cuidar y criar a un recién nacido, debido a que no han culminado de forma natural una etapa fundamental en su vida, etapa en la cual se definen los procesos fundamentales del ser humano, que por lo tanto las hace personas inestables, inseguras de si mismas. Las madres adolescentes necesitan ser orientadas, guiadas por el profesional de enfermería, para brindar cuidados a sus recién nacidos y de esta manera garantizar el bienestar del nuevo ser. The sample was organized by 115 adolescent mothers from 15 to 19 years old hospitalized at the Servicio de Gíneco Obstetricia (Servicio de Adolescencia) of the Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal which complete with the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. Between the conclusiones that I had at end I have that the mayority of the adolescent mothers have a mediun level of knowlege, this indecates that they are not adecuate prepare to asume the responsabilities to take care and bring up to a just born. Due to they haven’t finish a fundamental stage in their lives in a natural form. Stage in which they should define the fundamental proccess of a human being, therefore they are not stable, insecures of theirself. The adolescent mothers need to be orientated, guide by a professional nurse, to offer a good care to their just born and by this way warranty the wellbeing of the new baby.
