Idag äger nästa alla människor en mobiltelefon och mer tid än någonsin spenderas digitalt. Forskningen kring vilka konsekvenser detta för med sig är dock ung och begränsad. Likväl finns det ett upplevt problem hos målgruppen och en önskan om att förändra sin mobilanvändning. Syftet med denna studie har således varit att utforma ett koncept som uppmärksammar unga vuxnas mobilanvändning och därmed främjar ett medvetet och meningsfullt mobilanvändande. Designprocessen grundar sig i en förstudie med syfte att undersöka nutidsläget, målgruppens mobilvanor samt behov och upplevd problematik. Detta genomfördes genom en kvantitativ enkätundersökning samt genom en kvalitativ fokusgrupp med målgruppen. Tillsammans med relevant teori inom ämnet kom den inledande studien att resultera i en rad kriterier gällande både konceptets tonalitet, samt innehåll och utformning. Kriterierna användes sedan som en utgångspunkt i idégenerering och vidare designarbete för att svara på studiens forskningsfråga. Designarbetet, uppdelat i fyra olika faser, mynnade slutligen ut i konceptet Off the Line. Genom ett hemskickat kit till användaren kombinerar det framtagna konceptet förmedling av kunskap och konkreta tips, med en fysisk lösning för att distansera användaren från sin mobil. Detta koncept visualiserades sedan i form av en storyboard och mockups, vilket vid ett slutgiltigt skede värderades kvalitativt genom en fokusgrupp. Utifrån slutvärderingen dras slutsatsen att samtliga kriterier för designen, i varierande utsträckning, uppfylldes. Trots viss utvecklingspotential kan det fastslås att konceptet främjar ett medvetet och meningsfullt mobilanvändande, och att syftet med denna studie därav är uppfyllt. / In today's society, almost everyone owns a mobile phone and today more time than ever is spent online. However, the research about the consequences of phone usage is very limited. Nevertheless, there is an identified problem within the target group and a desire to change this behavior. The purpose of this study has thus been to design a concept that draws attention to young adults' mobile phone use and encourages a conscious and meaningful mobile phone use. The design process is based on a feasibility study with the aim of examining the current situation, the target group's mobile habits as well as needs and problems. This was carried out through a quantitative digital survey and through a qualitative focus group. Together with relevant theory on the subject, the initial study came to result in a number of criteria regarding both the concept's tonality, as well as content and design. The criteria were then used as a starting point for brainstorming and further design work to answer the study's research question. The design work, divided into four different phases, resulted in the concept Off the Line. By sending home a kit to the user, the concept combines knowledge and concrete tips, with a physical solution for distancing oneself from one's mobile. The concept was then visualized in the form of a storyboard and mockups, which at a final stage were valued qualitatively through a focus group with the target group. Based on the final evaluation, it can be concluded that all criteria for the design, to varying degrees, were met.
