Kiekvienoje šalyje ar valstybėje visada buvo žmonių su proto negalia. Gyvendami kasdieninį gyvenimą ir bandydami prisitaikyti, asmenys, turintys proto negalią, nėra apsaugoti nuo krizinių situacijų. Todėl ir kilo tyrimo klausimai – kokie veiksniai nulemia proto negalią turinčių asmenų krizės įveikimo patirtį? Kaip specialistai apibūdina priežastis lėmusias žmonių su proto negalią krizės įveiką? Tyrimo objektas – proto negalią turinčių asmenų krizės įveikos atvejai. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti ypatumus lėmusius proto negalią turinčių asmenų krizės įveiką. Tyrime išsikelti tokie uždaviniai: 1) apibūdinti negalios, krizės įveikos socialinį konstruktą; 2) atskleisti svarbiausius veiksnius, lėmusius proto negalią turinčių asmenų krizės įveiką; 3) suprasti specifinius socialinio darbo pagalbos konstekstus lėmusius žmogaus su proto negalia krizės įveiką. Tyrimo tikslui pasiekti buvo atliktas kokybinis tyrimas. Taip pat naudotas vienas iš specifinių kokybinių tyrimų modelių – atvejo analizė. Tyrimo atvejų ašis yra dvi proto negalią turinčios ir krizines situacijas išgyvenančios moterys. Tyrimo respondentės: socialinė darbuotoja, psichologė, psichologė – psichoterapeutė. Atvejo duomenų šaltiniai: buvo atlikta dviejų proto negalią turinčių moterų asmeninių bylų dokumentų analizė ir 5 interviu su darbuotojomis, kurios teikia pagalbą moterims. Mentally disabled people who try to adjust in their everyday lives are not sheltered from critical situations. This led to the following questions of this research: what factors govern crisis overcoming experiences of mentally disabled people? How do specialists define the reasons which governed disabled people’s crisis overcoming? Object of the research – cases of crisis overcoming of mentally disabled people. Aim of the research – to reveal the governing peculiarities of mentally disabled people’s crisis overcoming. The following tasks have been set in the research: 1) to define the social construct of disability and crisis overcoming; 2) to reveal the main factors governing mentally disabled people’s crisis overcoming; 3) to comprehend the specific contexts of the help of social work which have governed the disabled person’s crisis overcoming. In order to achieve the aim, a qualitative research has been carried out. Also, one of the specific models of qualitative researches has been used, i.e. case analysis.
