Previous issue date: 1990 / Resumo: Não informado / Abstract: An integrated matrix of 36 (6 x 6) phototransistors was developed in order to build an electronic interface to optical computers. This thesis describes its design, modeling and characterization using a silicon bipolar technology. Chapter 1 presents the outline of the work that we are developing at the State University of Campinas in the area of Optical Computing. which includes also the development of Spatial Light Modulators and architectures for 3-D processing. Chapters 2: and 3 presents the phototransistor mathematical modeling. the matrix layout and its characterization.
