Motivace jako nástoj řízení výkonnosti / Motivation as a tool of performance management

This diploma thesis addresses the question of work motivation, while it focuses on employee performance
as a key factor in performance management. The thesis
is divided into two parts.
The first part was processed as a literature review
of scientific resources. This part explains the basic concepts like the theory of motivation or historic evolution of management styles, human resource management, motivation, efficiency and incentive programs. Furthermore we can find explanation of such terms as job performance and some specific methods
of evaluation of job performances in this theoretical part.
The second part, which is the practical part
of the thesis, focuses on the selected company Mall.cz where a brief description of company's history is provided, as well as its business plan and structure
of the company. We can also find the basic overview
of those motivational factors that are used as a support
for the performance management. The analyzed survey focuses on the perception of the company and loyalty, working environment and interpersonal relationships, personal development and support of the employees, benefits and monetization and motivation to change.
The outputs and outcomes are described in forms
of various charts for better understanding. The detailed plan for improvement was conducted based on the findings of the described survey.
