En barnomsorg som inte räcker till : En undersökning om hur nattis framställs i media / A daycare that doesn't function

This is an examination that investigates how daycare during nights, evenings and weekends, so called “nattis”, is produced in media with restriction to three big Swedish newspapers during 2004-2012. The main intention and the base to this work is to see how media chooses to produce daycare during nights. As a help to find a result to this main intention there are four questions. These questions are which similarities and differences that can be shown in the articles, which main arguments that can be shown, if it’s a positive or negative picture that the articles are producing and which patterns and themes that can be shown.                       The method to find an answer to these questions and the main intention were an investigation of 21 articles. To analyze the material, content analyses has been used. A restriction to opinion pieces and editorials has been made because of the content. The search word was “nattis” and over 100 articles were shown, therefore the restriction was made to opinion pieces and editorials.                       The theory that this work is based on is social constructivism. Two important concepts in this work, which are derived from social constructivism, are construction and deconstruction. Three keywords in this work are media (media), constructions (konstruktioner) and daycare during nights (nattis).                       The result of this investigation shows briefly summarized that daycare during night is produced both positive and negative. The result also shows how the daycare that you can find today doesn’t function for parents that has jobs that requires them to work when the “ordinary” daycare is closed.
