This disserarion is addition to sociology on an example of a particular municipality. In the first part of the thesis is summary of used literature regarding sociology of countryside and related terms. One part of the disertation is case study of Dzbel municipality in which are summarized natural conditions, description of the service area, bruef history of the settlement and evaluation of basic informations about Dzbel municipality. Further in the thesis, there is evaluation of a questionnary survey, which took place in the territory of the municipality and in which participated amount of 51 respondentd. Furthermore, study processes question regarding depopulation tendencies in the municipality, preservatipn of the countryside character of the settlement and outlook of municipality's future development.
