This thesis deals with the process of education at the Municipal Police of the Capital City of Prague. This study examines all components of staff training for their professions, including ongoing training programmes for renewal of constable certifications and voluntary courses.
The aim of this thesis is to identify and evaluate the current education system, which was set up by the organization, and if there are any deficiencies, to suggest improvements.
The theoretical part is written on the basis of the analysis and synthesis of secondary sources of literature. Information for the practical part of the work was obtained from the staff research and internal directives issued by the organization as well. The practical part is also based on the survey of various questions answered by constables throughout the organization, so that it represented the largest sample and the investigation was as objective as possible.
The research found out that employees are mostly satisfied with training options and that the organization has a good process of education. Among the negatives are mainly the lack of additional courses for constables; these courses could be useful for their performance of services, for instance the course of first aid or foreign languages.
