The primary purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of controlling oyster drills in Tomales Bay, particularly Urosalpinx cinerea and Ocenebra Japonica (astropods, Muricidae), with chemicals which have been succesfully tested on a number of oyster pests, Including urosalpinx, in Long Island Sound (Loosanoff , 1956- 1961).
