The thesis deals with the quality of care provided in selected hospitals in Zlín Region. The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the quality of care provided for selected hospitals in the Zlín Region. The thesis includes a literature review that focuses on the concepts of health care quality, quality management tools, patient satisfaction, and strategic analysis of hospitals. The research part of the thesis evaluates the external and internal environment of hospitals, the quality of provided care from the perspective of hospitalized patients and from the perspective of medical staff. The theses also includes the mutual comparison of the analyzed hospitals in terms of care provided by the eyes of hospitalized patients. The proposed recommendations are based on the results of strategic analysis, questionnaire surveys and structured interviews.
