Yuyaymanaykim es un cortometraje que sigue un momento de la vida de Eduardo, un joven de
dieciséis años que aún no logra superar la muerte de su abuela Elena. Inesperadamente, un día
escucha un tarareo proveniente de la habitación de su abuela, encontrándola como si nada
hubiera pasado. A partir de aquí, comienza una discusión motivada por la soledad de Eduardo
y una leve frustración por la repentina pérdida de su abuela, ya que ella sigue siendo la persona
más importante para él. Por ello, en este cortometraje se explora el inicio de este proceso de
duelo que, si bien es diferente en cada persona, comparte una sensación de vacío abrumadora
al perder a un ser querido especialmente si fue súbitamente. En ese sentido, se desarrollaron
los conceptos y temas tratados en el proyecto en la presente investigación, desglosando también
las propuestas que se crearon en las áreas de dirección, producción, fotografía, arte, sonido y
edición en base a la idea inicial. Finalmente, se comparten las reflexiones a partir del proceso
y el cortometraje terminado de Yuyaymanaykim. / Yuyaymanaykim is a short film that follows a moment in Eduardo’s life, a teenager of sixteen
years old who still can't get over the death of his grandmother Elena. Unexpectedly, one day
he hears a hum coming from his grandmother's room. When he opens the door, he finds her as
if nothing had happened. From here, a discussion begins motivated by Eduardo's loneliness and
a slight frustration over the sudden loss of his grandmother, since she was one of a kind and
the closest person to him. This short film explores the early stage of the grieving process that,
although it is different in each person, shares an overwhelming feeling of emptiness when death
comes all of a sudden. So, in this research, each member of the group will explain the concepts
and themes related to the development of the project, with some specifications in the areas of
general direction, production, photography, art, music and soundtrack and post-production
based on what the story is looking to transmit to its audience. In the end, as a team, we write
some the reflections about the project in general and its development. / Trabajo de investigación
