Os testes de processamento auditivo, comportamentais e eletrofisiológicos podem ser úteis na investigação da via auditiva central de crianças com TDAH, uma vez que os testes comportamentais revelam déficits funcionais e os testes eletrofisiológicos indicam déficits na integridade e no funcionamento do sistema nervoso auditivo central. Objetivo: Comparar e correlacionar os achados da Avaliação Comportamental e Eletrofisiológica do Processamento Auditivo das crianças com e sem TDAH. Método: Participaram deste estudo 30 crianças na faixa etária de 8 a 12 anos, sendo 15 do grupo controle (sem TDAH) e 15 do grupo pesquisa (com TDAH), com limiares audiométricos dentro dos padrões de normalidade. O grupo controle foi composto por crianças que apresentavam desempenho satisfatório, em português e matemática, por dois bimestres consecutivos, e o grupo pesquisa foi composto por crianças com diagnóstico de TDAH que ainda não estavam em processo de intervenção fonoaudiológica. Como procedimentos de avaliação foram utilizados os testes eletrofisiológicos, P300 e Mismatch Negativity com estímulos variando quanto à frequência e à duração, e testes de processamento temporal de padrão de frequência (TPF) e de duração (TPD). Resultados: Na comparação entre o desempenho das crianças com e sem TDAH na avaliação eletrofisiológica da audição foram observadas diferenças estatísticamente significantes para a amplitude de P2 da orelha esquerda, que foi maior para o grupo com TDAH, e para a amplitude e latência de N2, também da orelha esquerda... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Introduction: The attention deficit with hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and auditory processing disorders have been increasingly observed in children of school age, and are pointed as one of the principal factor for the low performance of these children. The auditory processing tests, behavioral and electrophysiological can be useful in the investigation of central auditory pathways in children with ADHD, since the behavioral tests reveal functional deficits, and electrophysiological tests indicate deficits in the integrity and functioning of the nervous system central auditory. Objective: To compare and correlate the findings from the Behavioral Assessment and Electrophysiological of the Auditory Processing in children with and without ADHD. Method: Participated in these study 30 children with age of 8 to 12 years, 15 of the control group (without ADHD) and 15 of the research group (with ADHD), with audiometric thresholds within of the normality standards. The control group was composed of children who showed satisfactory performance, in Portuguese and mathematics, for two consecutive bimesters and the research group was composed of children with diagnosed of ADHD that who were not in process of speech therapy intervention. As procedures were realized the electrophysiological tests, P300 and Mismatch Negativity with stimuli ranging in frequency and duration and temporal test of pattern of frequency (TPF) and duration (TPD). Results: In the comparison between the performance of the children with and without ADHD in electrophysiological assessment of hearing were observed differences in relation to the significance level for the amplitude of P2 of the left ear, which was higher for the group with ADHD, and the amplitude and latency of N2, also of left ear, that were altered in the group with ADHD...
