Previous issue date: 2017-03-17 / Sem bolsa / O presente trabalho tem como objetos as interações sociais e os capitais sociais presentes na Praça Dom Antonio Zattera, campo da pesquisa, localizada no centro de Pelotas, cidade do interior do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A dinâmica das interações sociais foi a temática da investigação, a partir do envolvimento neste processo dos frequentadores do local, o entorno e o Poder Público municipal. O problema a ser respondido na demonstração dos resultados, foi qual a dinâmica e quais os capitais sociais envolvidos no ambiente da Praça, quando os usuários estão presentes no local. Para a realização do trabalho foi utilizado como base teórica, em relação às interações sociais, a sociologia e os conceitos de interações focadas, quando os indivíduos estão presentes no ambiente de forma cooperativa e interações desfocadas quando os indivíduos estão no ambiente, mas não no sentido de interagirem, de Erwing Goffman (2010). Em relação ao capital social foram utilizados como base teórica os conceitos de Putman (1992, 1996, 2000, 2002) e Coleman (1990), cuja abordagem diz respeito à cooperação entre os usuários de determinados locais na aquisição de educação e de cultura. Para o acesso às informações foi utilizado pesquisa qualitativa, também com aporte de dados quantitativos, possibilitando assim a demonstração dos resultados, cujo achado principal foi a não comprovação das hipóteses, quais sejam, as de que a Praça Dom Antonio Zattera seria utilizada pelos frequentadores apenas para consumir ou como área de circulação de uma região a outra da cidade. Neste sentido, os dados da pesquisa demonstraram que as interações sociais acontecem na Praça, apenas entre grupos ou indivíduos que já acessaram o local conjuntamente e, para que aconteça uma interação entre frequentadores de maneira geral, se faz necessário o acontecimento de eventos no local, seja cultural, político ou esportivo. / This work has the social interactions and the social capitals at Dom Antonio Zattera Square as the objects. The research field is in the center of Pelotas which is located in the interior of Rio Grande do sul state in Brazil. The dynamics of social interactions was the thematic of the research, from the involvement of the users, locals surroundings and the municipal public power. The problem to be answered in the demonstration of the results was dynamics and which of the social capitals were involved in the surroundings of the square when the users were in the place. For the achievement of the work, the sociology of Erving Goffman (2010) regarding to the social interactions and the concepts of focused interactions, when the individuals are in the place in a cooperative way and unfocused interactions when the individuals are in the place but not in the sense of interacting were used as the theoretical basis. In relation to the social capital, the concepts of Putman (1992, 1996, 2000, 2002) and Coleman (1990) were used as theoretical basis, whose approach concerns cooperation among the users of certain places to obtain education and culture. A qualitative research was used in order to access the information, bringing quantitative data as well, making it possible to demonstrate the results, whose main finding was that the hypotheses were not proved, that Dom Antonio Zattera square would be used by the locals only to consume or as a circulation area from a region to another in the city. In this sense, the research data showed that social interactions take place in the Square, only between groups or individuals who have already visited the place together and, in order for interaction to take place among regulars, it is necessary to have local events, Cultural, political or sporting.
