The submitted master `s thesis deals with marketing on Internet and its use in the
theater environment. It describes the relationship between marketing and internet,
the content, the role and the definition of e-marketing and particularities of marketing
in the theatres. The main part is focused on detailed analysis of internet tools, it
brings examples of their possible use in the theaters. It maps the current state of e-
marketing in Czech and Slovak theatres and it points out opportunities for the future.
Thesis can be used as theoretical base for developing internet marketing strategies.
