The map portrays Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and the northern part of Florida. Railroads, cities and towns, and canals are shown. The sites of significant battles are noted. Rivers and other topographical features are identifed. Relief is shown by hachures.
