El presente trabajo busca establecer un modelo de negocio adecuado a las
características y condiciones locales que permita a EcoVave ser un intermediario entre los
recolectores de residuos reciclables y los hogares generadores de residuos, de manera simple
y sencilla. Este modelo permitirá mejorar las condiciones de trabajo de los recicladores y
otorgar incentivos a los hogares.
Para lograrlo fue necesario entender el contexto nacional e internacional de la cadena
completa del reciclaje, desde la generación de residuos en los hogares hasta el proceso final y
tratamiento de los residuos. Se ha profundizado en identificar las problemáticas relacionadas
a las condiciones de trabajo de los recicladores, su posición en la cadena de valor en el
negocio del reciclaje y el tratamiento posterior de los residuos. Asimismo, haciendo uso de
metodologías ágiles fue posible encontrar e identificar una solución al problema que sea
atractiva y aceptada por todos los involucrados en el proceso. La falta de infraestructura
formal para la valorización de residuos es una oportunidad que se busca capitalizar y utilizar
para mejorar las condiciones de trabajo de toda la cadena. Finalmente, los supuestos en los
que se basa el proyecto para determinar la rentabilidad del modelo de negocio han sido
cuidadosamente revisados a fin de no descuidar el componente social del mismo en la
búsqueda del beneficio económico. / The present work seeks to establish a business model fully adapted to the local
characteristics and conditions that allows EcoVave to be an intermediary between the
collectors of recyclable waste and the generating households in a simple and easy way and at
the same time improve the working conditions of the recyclers and provide incentives to
households.
To achieve this, it was necessary to understand the national and international context
of the recycling process and to be able to identify the problems related to the working
conditions of recyclers and the treatment of waste. It deepened in identifying the problems
related to the working conditions of recyclers, their position in the value chain in the
recycling business and the subsequent treatment of waste. Likewise, using agile
methodologies, it was possible to find and identify a solution to the problem that can be
accepted by all those involved in the process. Finally, the assumptions on which the project is
based to determine the profitability of the business model have been carefully reviewed in
order not to neglect its social component in the search for economic benefit.
