This work aims to look at a new phenomenon of today - distance learning, which has replaced the common full-time form of education in anti-epidemic measures, from the perspective of one selected family. The theoretical part deals with two topics. The first is distance learning, introduction to the issue, its legislative basis and its forms. It deals with the topic of the parent and his important position in distance education, as well as the overall approach of parents to school, which is further reflected in the child's attitude towards school and education. This section also describes the impacts of distance learning on pupils and students, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning in comparison with regular full-time form of education. The second topic of the theoretical part is a look at the approaches used to work with the family and their principles. Specifically a systemic approach and a narrative approach. It describes the construction of reality in a narrative concept and the school and its place in the story of the family. These chapters are included for a better understanding of the interpretation in the empirical part of the work, which is directly based on these approaches.
