questionam o senso comum, as violências, as experiências desconhecidas.
[en] This study examines three books: Becos da memória (2017) [Alleys of
Memory], by Conceição Evaristo; Bom dia, camaradas (2001) [Good Morning
Comrades], by Ondjaki; and O sol na cabeça (2018) [The Sun On My Head], by
Geovani Martins, in which I specifically consider the short stories Rolézim and
Espiral [Spiral]. The analysis is centered on what meanings are potentialized by
childhood in such narratives. In other words, I discuss how, in each of these
works, child-protagonists dispute taken-for-granted assumptions, call violence
into question, and respond to unknown experiences. The analysis is further
informed by my own experience as a teacher in elementary schools, as well as by
forms of classroom knowledge associated with Basic and Higher Education.
