Vi ansåg oss ha ett gemensamt intresse kring sex och sexualitet då vi båda vill arbete som sexologer. Ungdomsmottagningen såg vi som det rätta stället att göra vår uppsats på. Syftet vi har med vår uppsats är att titta närmare på två ungdomsmottagningars mål och riktlinjer för att främja sexuell och reproduktiv hälsa hos dagens ungdomar. Skiljer sig deras mål och riktlinjer mot deras faktiska arbete? Vi vill belysa deras skillnader och likheter ur ett forskningsperspektiv som kommer beröra genus och queerteori. För oss var det viktigt att få se en helhet. Vi har genomfört nio intervjuer med personal på två av väst Sveriges ungdomsmottagningar. Med vår empiri har vi skapat oss en uppfattning kring hur dessa båda ungdomsmottagningar jobbar med sexuell hälsa. Vi har genom vår studie kommit fram till att ungdomsmottagningarna har svårigheter i att främja alla ungdomars sexuella och reproduktiva hälsa, då ungdomsmottagningen i vår undersökning visat sig vara heteronormativ och främst riktar sig till heterosexuella tjejer. Ett besök på ungdomsmottagningen kan förbättras genom reflektion över personalens beteende. Utbildning och handledning för ungdomsmottagningens personal är viktig för att öka kvaliteten på dialog om sexuella frågor. Detta i sin tur kan göra de möjligt för personalen att ta upp frågor och arbeta förebyggande för att främja sexuell och reproduktiv hälsa. / As we share an interest in questions about sex and sexuality, and as we both see a future in working as sexologist´s, we chose youth health centres to be our primal area of work for this essay. The intention with this essay is to look more closely at two youth health centres, and their goals and guidlines for improving sexual health for the youth of today. Is there a difference between their goals and guidelines, and their actual area of work? Furthermore, we intend to compare and contrast the two youth health centres, and from an analytical perspective use the theories of queer and sex. For us, a rounded perspective was a priority. We have done nine interwievs with staff from two youth health centres on the west coast of Sweden. Through this empirical material, we have gained a perspective of how these centres are run concerning sexual health. Through our study we have reached the conclusion that youth health centres have difficulties in promoting sexual health of all young people, regardless of sex, as the two youth health centres our study covered is heteronormative and focuses on heteosexual girls. A visit at the youth health centre can be improved through reflection of the way the staff carry out their actions. Education and guidance for staff members are crucial to enhance the quality of the discourse and dialogue concerning the question of sexuality. In return, this can improve the possibility for staff members to raise questions and work preventionaly in the matter of sexual health and reproductive health.
