Intergenerational relationships in contemporary society Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the theme of intergenerational relationships, particularly focusing on ageism. This theme was chosen for the present social development and also because of its relevance. Intergenerational relations are becoming an important element of everyday life and thus have an impact on the lives of individuals and theirs families. Demographic indicators have a big influence for ageism and their analysis will also be part of the work. The work will include both parts, theoretical part, which will be familiar with the problems of intergenerational communication and conflict resolution and discuss the literature dealing with this issue, as well as empirical part, based mainly on secondary data analysis of sociological research.
