HRNČIAROVÁ, Slavomíra: Evaluation of the Impact of the Construction and Operation of the Moravian Karst Singletrail (Singletrail Moravský kras) on the Vitality of Crowns of Trees Growing Nearby. [Master's thesis] – Mendel University in Brno. Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology; Department of Landscape Management. Supervisor: doc. Ing. Petr Hrůza, Ph.D. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. In a number of instances, the role of forests is no longer tantamount to that of a mere source of wood. Rather, they are widely perceived as places of recreation. In conjunction with the ever-increasing trend of recreational use of forest stands, the question arises as to the extent to which such activities have been reflected in the overall vitality and stability of forest stands as well as of entire ecosystems. The thesis focuses on evaluation of the impact of the operation of the Moravian Karst Singletrail (Singletrail Moravský kras) on the vitality of trees in its immediate proximity. Using the ICP – Forests methodology, basic habitual properties with respect to selected routes of the Moravian Karst Singletrail (Singletrail Moravský kras) have been evaluated.
