The shift of the lambda point by a heat current

The velocity of second sound, with and without a heat flux present, has been measured using a time of flight technique. The velocity changes resulting from the presence of the heat flux are interpreted as changes in the temperature of the He II - He I transition. The null results indicate
that the depression of the transition temperature, ðT[sub A], by a heat
flux Q is [equations]. / Science, Faculty of / Physics and Astronomy, Department of / Graduate
