IT and global digitization has quickly reached our society and the development of technology has been very fast. When IT came to the school it put new demands on IT-support, and the new requirements are difficult to meet. Many teachers feel that there are major deficiencies related to IT-support and assistance, therefore, this study has chosen to focus on how schools can be adapted to today's IT society and develop sustainable models for IT-support and assistance. With the support of my own experiences, other reports, articles and interviews, this study contribute to school development by analyzing IT-technicians and supporting/ assisting teachers’ situation. There is a lack of understanding of the actual practice in the schools need of IT. IT-support and or assistance can be improved by information, education, increased self-service, efficient and suitable support. This study has highlighted many areas and perhaps giving a glimpse of what kind of IT-support and assistance schools will need.
