The necrosis to pulpar with periapical reaction is a polimicrobian disease, whose more important etiológics agents are the anaerobic bacterial among them the sorts: Porphyromona, Prevotella, Peptostreptococcus (anaerobic strict) and Actinomyces (anaerobic facultative). On the other hand the use of intraconducts medication is being centered to the use of a product as paramonoclorofenol whose antibacterial effects are not always successful because its cytotoxic effect has been verified at periapical level. Nowadays, as much in general medicine as dentistry, is being investigated new alternatives of antimicrobial treatments, given the continuous increase of the bacterial resistance to conventional antibiotics and by the adverse reactions that these produce in some patients. The propenny royal is a natural product made by the Apis mellífera bee with varied medicinal properties, among them the antimicrobial one. In the following study the antibacterial activity of the four solutions of extract of propenny royal (50ug, 100ug, 200ug and 500ug was determined) in front of stocks ATCCR of Porphyromona gingivalis, melanogenica Prevotella, Peptostreptococcus anarobius and Actinomyces odontolyticus, in comparison with the antibacterial activity of paramonoclorofenol alcanforado.
