Arsenic remains in the environment over long periods and when it occurs in high concentrations, it can be toxic to many life forms, but it also has been shown to be an essential nutrient for many animal species and may be to humans, too. This publication provides information about the impact arsenic in drinking water has over human and plant health and the ways to remove it.
