Využití bezpluchého ječmene ve výživě drůbeže

This thesis deals with the use of hulless barley KM 1057-1906 in poultry feed. This type of barley is characterized by reduced fiber content and a reduced content of beta-glucans. Experiment was performed on male experimental chicken hybrid combination ROSS 308. ROSS chicken were divided into groups and fed izonitrogenous diet containing 30 % and 60 % of hulless barley. The control group was feeding by wheat, which was in diet in 30 % and 60 %. Weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio were monitored and carcass yield was observed in all chickens post-mortem. We fed this diet from day 20, so the conclusions and recommendations can be used only for this period. The influence of hulless barley KM 1057-1906 on fattened broilers was not significant. In other words, the experiment confirmed the theory of impropriety inclusion of barley in diets of poultry and this may be used without major economic losses, for example, used in organic farming.
