This diploma thesis deals with issue of foreign direct investment (FDI) into agrarian sector in developing countries with focus on the concept of food security and right to food. Initial theoretical part of this paper provides a discussion of its core concepts: the food security, the right to food as well as FDI with related issues. The theoretical analysis is subsequently applied to the context of Zambia. Author's engagement in field research is presented with two case studies which address the resultant effects of FDI in land on the community level in Zambia.
